01
Thoroughly clean surface of the vehicle, remove any oil, tar or bug stains as this can negatively impact the bonding of the adhesive and show imperfections after the film is applied.
02
Make sure there is a clean workspace with no dust, especially when removing the capsheet since this creates a static effect that attracts dust.
Tip
Mist the film surface when removing the capsheet this captures any dust that is being attracted due to the static effect.
*Capsheet only applies to glossy and metallic finishes.
03
Treat surface with alcohol, wipe clean and let air dry.
Important!
The finished product is only as good as your paint. If the paint has a lot of orange peel consider polishing your paint before color PPF installation.

01
Liberally spray slip solution on the surface of the vehicle and the adhesive side of the film. Alternatively, if you like to reposition the film regularly during the installation, consider an installation gel type.
Important!
Ensure that the edges are thoroughly flushed so that there is no more slip solution on the edges once you are ready to wrap the edges.
Tip
Try using warm water for flushing the edges as this will promote the adhesive to stick faster and gets rid of the slip solution more effectively.
Tip
If you are still having difficulties with the edges to stick, try using an alcohol tack solution on the edges that are to be wrapped around. Before resorting to this method make sure you have evenly spread out the tension of the film. If it is a tension issue you will keep getting fingers or peel back issues no matter how much you flush the edges.
Tip
After flushing the edges, you can gently heat the edges with a heat gun or torch to immediately wrap the edges. Make sure to keep the heating brief and not directly on the film. If you have the time, letting the edges air dry before wrapping is preferred.
02
Try to stretch and lay down the film with the correct tension in one go as much as possible. Working with two installers on larger body parts is preferred.
Important!
Do not stretch the film beyond 10~15% as this can increase the risk of fingers, stretch marks, glue lines, orange peel and distortion during color PPF installation.
03
Squeegee from the middle to the outside. Avoid very sharp angles like 90 degrees with the surface. This can create squeegee lines.
04
For larger trapped air bubbles gently lift the film to squeegee out the air. TPU is a softer material, so you don’t want to apply too much pressure with the squeegee.
